The pomegranate is a so-called 'superfruit' for its many healthful properties. The pomegranate is rich in polyphenols, known for its powerful antioxidants. It is a low calorie fruit and has diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties, which is ideal for cleansing and slimming diets.

The southern half of the province of Alicante is considered as the land of pomegranates in Europe.

The peculiarity of the Mollar variety is its particular sweetness, its colour can vary from cream to red and the seed is soft.

3. 3. Melt dark cooking chocolate in the microwave on medium power. Pour a tablespoon on each muffin letting it fall unevenly. Place pomegranate aryls on the hot chocolate, refrigerate for a few minutes for the chocolate to harden and so that the aryls stop sticking.

 

 

Ingredients for 4 people:
- 150 gr. Pomegranate aryls
- 250 gr. of flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda - 1 egg
- 80 ml. sunflower oil
- Dark cooking chocolate
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 125 gr. of sugar
- 1 packet of sugared vanilla
- 2 natural yoghurts
- Pomegranate aryls

Preparation:

1. 1. Preheat an oven to 180 ° C and place the rack at the bottom, grease a baking tray. Remove the pomegranate aryls & place them in a cIn another bowl, beat an egg and gradually add sugar, sugared vanilla, oil, yogurt, lemon juice and 150 gr. of pomegranate aryls. Incorporate the flour mixture using a silicone spatula until it is blended in. Fill the 12 holes of the baking tray with the dough and bake for 25-30 minutes, remove the tray from the oven and let it stand for five minutes, take the muffins out of the tray the and cool on a rack. Once cool you can eat them or freeze them in sealed bags.
